My cousin in-laws visited us for a few days last week and the Man was busy with work and couldn't spend the day with us in the city so we made it a girls' day. We did all the things girls would do in the city (well almost). We bought cupcakes from Cako. The prices are good and the cupcakes are addicting but the cookies fall short. I was so bad I tossed it. It tasted like baking soda. We went to Lush and got a $ex Bath Bomb demo which Tay loved! No, we didn't call it a $ex Bomb because Tay was with us so we just called it 'the bomb'. We had lunch at the Franciscan Crab Restaurant. I didn't like the crab fondue at all...it was too rich and cheesy and the cooler it became the harder the cheese got. It was like someone melted a block of cheese and tossed in some crab ::eww gross::The rest of the food was GREAT! The service was great, prices are cheap, and the view of the ocean is priceless! Sorry for the Blackberry photos...I forgot my digital camera at the house that day :(

A day at Fisherman's Wharf Pier 45 (PICS) + "Why lie I need a beer"
Lunch only cost $30.00 of course the Man said that was a lot...but he says that about everything about me. We also saw a guy with a sign that said "Parents kidnapped by pigeons...need money for a BB Gun". We also had guy scare us by sitting on a bucket and hiding behind some plants and tree bushes saying "BOO" as we walked by ...ONLY in Frisco!

WonderCon 2010 + Nasty A$$ pizza from Blondie's
I wasn't going to go because I'm not really into comic books but the Man is so hell why not give it a try. It really wasn't that bad at all and we had a really good day. My only issue was my ear popping really bad when the BART went under water in the tunnel.
NASTY pizza from Blondies...it was cold so and tasted like dough. The service was bad as well. They ran out of napkins in the front and a customer asked if they had any napkins. Instead of the cashier saying "let me check in the back" she took the time to vent about how stupid it was for a restaurant to NOT have napkins. She also made a snarky remark about me changing my mind about not wanting frozen yogurt with my order. The last I check you wasn't paying for my order and I'm sure you don't get paid commission for taking my order. Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Birthday dinner with the family
The baby's favorite food is pizza and he refuses to eat it any other way than upside-down. I'm not sure why everyone wasn't photoed. I think we were all too busy eating. We had dinner at Albany Pizza Company...I read a ton of reviews about this place and I will admit that their pizza is really good and at great prices but, it lacks ambiance. The restaurant was cute and clean but eerily quiet. The boys enjoyed watching them prepare the pizza and toss the dough but the entire restaurant was quiet. No music, television, interaction among the staff, or even the sound pots & pans. It was a little strange. The price was good and we plan on purchasing pizza from there again. My card (not pictured) was super cute and I couldn't have had a better day. I'll post my birthday gifts in the morning on my beauty blog www.AddictedToAllThingsPretty.com.

SMDH...Rihanna performs “Hard” and “Rude Boy” at Kids' Choice Awards
Had I not read the Bitchie Mail letter on Necole Bitchie's blog I would have never known Rihanna was performing "Rude Boy" on the Kids' Choice Awards. How many idiots had to give the clearance for this song to be performed on an award show for children?! I won't even allow my 10 year old to watch this video and trust he rarely watches television alone...and our family computer is in very public area of the house. That doesn't mean that we shut him off from the world but do practice common sense and parenting. We don't feel that it's the artists job to raise our children. Their job is to entertain not parent our children. He hasn't asked about watching this show but he won't even be allowed to because I'm not sure what other bull shit they have goin' on in this show. It would have been a little refreshing for Rihanna to refuse to perform those two songs and give a statement about them being simply inappropriate for the occasion. Check out the video below...it's clear she must feel some kind of way for singing these songs to kids. Hell who wouldn't?!

NO! I will NOT remove all the pineapple from the pizza you asked me to put pineapple on!
Krissy: Mari what do you want on your pizza?
Mari: Pineapple and pepperoni.
Krissy: That sounds good I might trade you a slice for the one I'm getting.
10 minutes later he's sitting down with his pizza in front of him
Mari: Krissy? This taste a little weird.
Krissy: ::what's new:: Oh really? What's wrong with your pizza?
Mari: I don't like the pineapples on the pizza.
Krissy: Not a problem. Take them off, place them on the side, and eat them separately...but you gon' finish that food.
Mari: Can you take them off and give me one of the other pizzas?
Krissy: Not a chance kid.
"Diary of a Wimpy Kid (the movie)" review | AMC $6 movies
The entire family was really excited to go watch this movie! Of course we had to make an entire fun-filled day out of it. We're all early birds so we caught the 11:10AM showing. Most people don't know but AMC Movie Theaters have $6 movies before noon. Why not get the day started early and save a little money? We were almost late because I had to make breakfast, clean the kitchen, wash my hair, get dressed, and do my makeup ::sighs::. We made it on time and had to grab snacks and everything. Gosh even with all the snacks I had it seems like we had just enough. 8 juice boxes, 1 bag of cotton candy, 2 large bags of popcorn, 1 Snickers Bar, 1 Milky-way Bar, 1 box of Sour Patch Kids, 1Kit-Kat Bar, 1 Twix, 1 Soda, and 1 Arizona Iced Tea....for 4 kids and 2 adults. I save moments like them to enjoy junk food because we rarely eat out and eat junk food. We enjoyed ourselves.
We just bought the Diary of a Wimpy Kid
a week ago and didn't read much of the book but loved the few chapters we were able to get to. The movie and the book were very similar which I'm able to appreciate. The kids remembered parts of the book once the saw the movie and became even more excited. We loved this movie and can't wait to own it on DVD. The movie is completely relatable and had these crazy adventures and friends in middle school. We also found that the movie was genuine. The characters were all normal people and it wasn't glammed up or materialistic. Our middle son is at the age were he's into fashion, gadgets, and friends. He's not shallow at all but his "image" is prioritized too high on the list if you know what I mean lol. This movie conveyed a message to him as well as the rest of the family that friendship is important. More importantly acceptance. No one is perfect in this world but be the best person you can be. It's a must see for everyone!
