NO! I will NOT remove all the shredded cheese from your spaghetti!

My middle step-son is 6 and he's a super picky eater like myselfI don't mind working with him and complying to some of his ridiculous food request.  The other night I made spaghetti for dinner.  I know everyone wanted shredded cheddar on theirs...no questions asked.  Mari doesn't like what he calls "'burger cheese".  We had a lengthy conversation about 'burger cheese.  I found out that it's American Cheese he doesn't like, but he likes "tiny cheese".  Most of you call "tiny cheese" shredded cheese.  I knew I had to ask him if he wanted shredded cheese on his spaghetti since he also doesn't like his food touching.  He said "yes, but only on the side".  "Whatever kid..have it your way".  As soon as his plate was in front of him he stirred it all together.  I took that as a huge accomplishment for him and smiled.  See this is why I don't get my hopes up too high.  10 minutes later he said "this don't taste right..it's weird.  Can you take the cheese out or give me a new bowl"?  "NO!  I will NOT remove all the shredded cheese from your spaghetti!  I gave it to you how you asked and you need to figure it out."  He sat there and thought about it then asked his dad to pour some ranch dressing on top of it.  ::gross::  He ate it too.  This kid never ceases to amaze me.
